EAGLES music is simply timeless, appealing to audiences of every age, bringing back memories and touching the hearts and souls of each new generation… THE band themselves having released their first new studio album in 27 years already gives testament to the longevity of their unique feel good effect with their singles “How Long” and “Too busy Being Fabulous”…
There are, currently circling the UK, some fine Eagles tributes, indeed salutes, to this pantheon of Californian Sunshine Rock, but DESPERADO, just like the Queen of Hearts, is ALWAYS YOUR BEST BET…
DESPERADO are a six piece ensemble of accomplished musicians from around the UK. The sum of these parts creates a truly superb homage to the originals, such that you could just believe you ARE standing on that street corner in Winslow Arizona, or on that dark desert highway.
The show - 2 hours plus - including ALL the classics will fly by, and feature unsurpassable sweet vocal harmonies layered over note perfect guitar breaks, licks, slides, and solos. Furthermore, the boys usually dip into the solo careers of Henley & Walsh, adding beautifully to the total experience…
The Very Best of Eagles double album achieved triple platinum status in 2004 following it's 2003 release becoming the definitive Eagles collection.
It's extensive song list stretches from the early beginnings to the start of the infamous 'fourteen year vacation' and includes all the favourite songs up to the long awaited album 'Long Road Out of Eden'.
Dseperado faithfully recreate this magnificent catalogue live with their 2012 show, treating all the songs with a reverence and authenticity Eagles fans deserve.
Desperado are playing a range of venues throughout the UK in 2012 and are delighting audiences - so call us now on 01372 824 261 and allow your audience to soak up this unforgettable, Californian sunshine rock.
CHRIS BRIGHTON has been singing and playing guitar since he was 14, covering pretty well all genres. His love for vocal harmony has always been a consistent ingredient in any live musical venture.
Winning a world-wide song competition in 1989 gave him the confidence and self belief to change career course and make a living from music. His composition “Close to You’ made the US billboard charts in 1990, and royalty funds financed a home studio.
He has been active in TV, Film and Gaming for over 20 years as a free-lance musician/composer and continues to run a successful business at his studio at home. Being an avid Eagles fan since ’73, running the band for over 4 years has been a constant source of pleasure and continues to press all the right musical buttons.
Chris plays Taylor 114ce, Crafter SAC-TVMS Classical, Fender Strat de-luxe, Gibson Les Paul Studio, Fender Nashville Power Tele de-luxe with Fender Deville 410.
STEVE JAMES has been a pro-drummer for 20 years playing all over the world. He started his career with a UK band called Muscles who had a lot of success in Europe where they supported many top bands including -The Fatback band - Ohio Players – Kool & the Gang and many more.
Steve has also worked with many top musicians around the world including Glenn Hughes, Ruby Turner, Alvin Stardust, Jackie Graham, Soul Survivors and some of the Simply Red musicians.
Steve is a great asset to any band and welcomes the opportunity of joining ranks with Desperado having just returned to the UK after 3 years in South Africa.
MIKE TINSLEY has been playing bass since he was 14 and won his first talent contest at the tender age of 15 with Rock n Roll band 'The Convertibles' (the Midland's answer to The Rutles........sorry,The Beatles). Just as well as he cites his main influences as McCartney, Billy Joel, Steely Dan and of course,The Eagles.
After treading the boards up and down the country in various pubs and clubs, he went on to gig with a jazz trio on the QE2 cruise circuit before moving to London to ply his trade there. Shortly after, Tenerife beckoned for the Wolverhampton born GlobeTrotter (well, he's certainly got the height !) performing with a rock outfit in the late 90s before returning to good old Blighty where he met Chris Brighton.....and the rest, as they say is history.
Mike plays a Ken Smith Jazz 5 String and Fender Jazz Fretless using Ashdown amplification.
During STEVE ASHCROFT'S 35-year career, he has successfully entertained audiences from contemporary folk venues, many of Britain's leading theatres, to Birmingham's Symphony Hall, sharing the stage with artistes including Jasper Carrott, Barbara Dickson, Hot Chocolate, Long John Baldry, Roy Wood, Talon and, of course, good friend - Raymond Froggatt.
Having recorded eleven albums to date, the quality of his music is unquestionable. Steve's musical style has been carefully crafted to cater for a varied audience, blending original material with classic songs from Popular, New Country and Contemporary Folk.
Being a lifelong EAGLES fan Steve relishes the opportunity of being part of DESPERADO and finally after many years sharing the stage with Chris ..... a friend of over 30 years.
FRANK BEACH began learning classical piano whilst still a choirboy. The choirmaster had him down as the next and possibly youngest church organist following his tuition on the king of instruments. Little did he realise Frank had been taught a blues progression years earlier by an older cousin and the strict C of E church would sometimes resound to the occasional Rock Anthem (not on Sundays you understand). He never went back to church organ following college and the transformation to Rock and Roll piano player was complete.
His skills have featured in many highly regarded Midlands bands including Palomino (where he first met fellow Desperado Chris), The Italians, The Doctors, Curtis Little Band, Beyond the Groove and The Doobie Others. He has also played and collaborated with Midland vocalists Ruby Turner, Curtis Little, Jaki Graham, Brad Henshaw and Cissie Stone.
Frank reunited with Chris after a break of ten years for a brief collaboration following Chris’s songwriting success in the US. Ten years after that they reunited again and their latest project together is Desperado, now only two years old and enjoying success touring the UK, Europe and the Middle East to great acclaim and increasing reputation. Frank, a qualified accountant also looks after the bands finances.
STEVE GEE began his musical career at the age of 13 playing clarinet and acheiving grade 8, but rapidly moved to guitar having met Mike Tinsely and joined The Convertibles, performing in clubs around the Midlands. Leaning heavily towards Rock and turning Pro at 18, he formed a band called Outrun and moved to Tenerife, where he stayed for 8 years playing 7 days a week at the infamous Kangaroo Club, forming a friendship with guitar guru Stuart Bull.
He then moved back to the UK where he toured the world performing in various Beatles tributes for over 10 ten years, playing the part of 'George' .... Among the clients he played for were David and Victoria Beckham, Richard Branson and Rick Wakeman.
But his love for Blues and Rock led him away from the Fab Four touring and an online meeting with old friend Mike Tinsley re-kindled the flame when a position for main guitar came up in Deperado. Steve now relishes the challenge ahead .... bring it on.

Hi Guys Thanks for a wonderful evening-- we've just got home from your concert and it was simply STUNNING!!! Considering that you haven't been together as a group for long, it was an amazing performance, especially from your new lead guitarist Steve Gee who must rank along with Steve Vai and Clapton with his virtuosity. Wishing you every success for the rest of your tour and looking forward to seeing you back in Lynn before too long..................... David & Tricia Blakesley
Saw you at kings lynn and really enjoyed the show We have seen the eagles twice and you are the best out of the three tribute bands we have seen. Please include K/Lynn in your next tour. We will certainly be there. Good Luck..........two more fans Ken and Joy
Hi Desperado Had a grand night out, listening to favourite songs perform to a standard and level to be admired, i have attented 2 eagles concerts which were great. Last night was on a smaller scale but the skill shown was exceptional given that we aren’t all bless to be an eagle. Will be watching out for you next time you are in the area and will be ready to book our seats ................. Best wishes Adrian & Vanessa
Hi Guys, We just wanted to let you know what a fantastic evening we had at the Orchard this evening. It was great to hear so many of our own favourite Eagles songs (and clearly yours as well) - it was brilliant to see everyone enjoying themselves, singing along. The time just flew by. Sorry we couldn't stop for a chat afterwards, but look forward to seeing you again in the near future................ All the best Ian and Diane
Hi Guys Thank you for a great night on Friday - we really enjoyed ourselves singing along. You played a lot of our favourites including Boys of Summer and Take It easy amongst others along with a few that we were not familiar with but enjoyed nonetheless. Amazing guitar playing too - am learning to play at the moment and am in awe of anyone that can play so well - at present only learning on Acoustic - but electric looks great fun- got a long way to go yet though !! Anyway thanks again for a great night - You Rocked the House ....................... Best Regards Sheryl & Jonathan Farrow from Rochester, Kent.
Just a short note to say what a superb night at Dartford. First time we had seen you and we had a great night ............. well done Barry
When you have been a lifelong fan of the original band it is always with some hesitation that you go to a tribute concert, but no such problem with Desperado they are first class all the way. Good tight harmonies, outstanding guitar solos, and a band clearly enjoying themselves made for a great evening. The Eagles have always been my driving music, it makes the M6 almost enjoyable. Alone in my car with no one to laugh at me I give it full belt and I couldn't help joining in on Friday night. Somebody I know very well came up to me and said they had never seen me look so happy.....or sound so loud !! Desperado are appearing in Kings Lynn on Friday Nov 26th at The Corn Exchange and I am tempted to go and see them, I am sure I won't be disappointed. Keep the sound alive forever .................. Peter Campbell-McBride
Hi there everybody!!!! Just thought we’d drop you a line to say we had a great time at the show last night. There’s nothing like live music especially when it is performed so brilliantly. Keep up the good work - from Cathey, Jules and Toni.

Your stage professionalism was excellent as was the brilliant musical quality of the numbers played. Looking forward to next year. In future try not to get confused with Bilston , Basildon, Bedford or Brum !!! ............John Payne
Absolutely marvellous show on Saturday night ... You all really gelled with the audience, great to see the stagecraft coming through - it's A TRUE SHOW The sound was perfect Set list was great I now even love Dirty Laundry !!! Regards Ian Monckton
Hi all, Just a note to say how much we enjoyed the gig, really good sound and a great night. We are an eagles tribute aswell but playing smaller venues than yourselves and great fans of the Eagles, so we always try to come to any local gigs you do and have a great time too! you can count on us for any future support........................................... Best regards Nigel/Bryan/Mark
Hi Guys, Just want to say what a fantastic performance you all gave last Friday at the steps Theatre in Bridgnorth. It is the second time we have seen you there and cant wait for the next visit. WOW WOW WOW, I took my husband to come and see you tonight at Epsom playhouse and he was blown away you were BRILLIANT, thanks for a great evening ................ Paul and Vanessa Welch see you soon ,
To the band, I saw you at the Castle in Wellingborough over the weekend; I have seen other Eagle's tribute bands in the past but not yourselves; and as every band is different, I was unsure what to expect. However, I was pleasently suprised. The concert was great!! As you said yourself on the night, there are so many Eagles favourites but I was very pleased when you played 'Heart of the matter' as it is my personal favoutire. I was disappointed for you that the seats weren't sold out but I think that when word gets round about how good a band you are, your concerts will be a sell out. I will certainly be spreading the word to all my friends. I look forward to seeing you again soon! Thanks for a great night! ........ Becka Chad
Hi Guys, Thanks to you all, what a fantastic night at the Castle Theatre Wellingborough last evening. Sorry it wasn't a full house as your wonderful evenings entertainment deserved, I am convinced that not enough is done to let people know you are in the area? My two son's and I can't wait for your return, please make it soon, we will do our bit to drum up support. Keep up the great music. PS. I went to see the Eagles in Birmingham and although I am a great fan of their music, their live sound was poor. My family prefer to see and hear you..Thanks again. Mel
Hi Guys, Just to say what a fantastic night we had last night at The Castle, Wellingborough. Great harmonies, great sound and great musicanship, just a pity there weren't more in the audience, they don't know what a great night they missed !! Looking forward to your return next and have already been on the phone to family and friends to let them know about you. Thanks to you all...Regards Kate and Terry Mitchell
Hi Just a short note to say thanks to you all for a truly great show - if you closed your eyes you would think the Eagles themselves were on stage... The great thing about these guys is that although they're a tribute band, they make it look so easy and not contrived. Particularly loved 'New York Minute' and 'Life's Been Good'.. We will be back when you are! ...Mike & Louise Clifton, Graham & Sarah Sillman..
Hi Guys, Just a quick word to say the show at High Wycombe was FANTASTIC.!!! Music great, and the vocal harmony was brilliant. Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing you when you come round again........ Regards, Tony
I have just got home after watching your show at a rather under populated theatre, I was so pleased that this did not dampen your enthusiastic performance. A "Truly professional" attitude came from the members of the band which made an extremely enjoyable night, I would like to thank you for your efforts tonight well done gents and if you come back to the Swan Theatrer at High Wycombe again I will make sure to watch you again ........Yours Clive and Lindsay Pocock
My partner Dave and I came to see you on the 19th June, at the Anvil, Basingstoke. What a fantastic night we had. Each and every one of you have such an amazing talent, which is second to none. I've seen some tribute bands before, but not of this calibre. You were all truly mindblowing. We can't wait for you all to come back, and we're reccommended you to all our friends as a must see band. Well it proves there's massive talent from the Midlands. [from one midlander to another LOL]......UTTER BRILLIANCE GUYS Hayley xxxxxx
Hi Never done this before - I booked as a treat for my husband and am thrilled to say the concert didn't disappoint. A fantastic evening it was just a shame more people weren't there to experience - still their loss. Would definitely book again. Thank you for a great evening................. Best wishes jo
Hi, Congratulations on a great show last night. This was the first time my wife and I had seen you. It was a shame there wasn't a bigger turnout, but I thought you dealt with that very well. The choice of tracks was good and played with great technique and great vocals especially the backing harmonies which were pretty tight. All in all a great show..... Kind regards, Stuart Cameron
Hello Just to say I really enjoyed your concert at The Anvil Basingstoke Saturday Night.I am a big fan of The Eagles, and I thought your take on them was excellent. The young guitar player was really good and could have stood in for Joe Walsh. So more power to your elbow,or should I say your plectrums..... Regards Mr Roy Thorne
Hi guys, My wife and I attending your concert in Basingstoke on 19th June 2010, and thought you were really excellent. The musicianship was outstanding, and the vocals spot on. The relaxed light humored banter gave the whole thing a cozy feel. I only wish more people had been at the theatre to enjoy the show. Look forward to seeing you again when you are in our area.......... Regards Alan & Sandie flockton (Andover)
Hi! I just wanted to say how much my friends, my wife and I enjoyed the gig at the Anvil in Basingstoke earlier this evening. Your performance was excellent, and I've seen the Eagles live on two occasions. It was such a shame that the theatre was only about a third full, and I can only say that the other two thirds, whoever and wherever they were, missed on hell of a good evening. Great all round performances, both instrumentally and vocally. You were all great. Thanks guys ....... Geoff and Jill Buss
Hi guys, Just got home from Pitlochry and felt I had to comment on tonight's show. Absolutely brilliant! We really enjoyed the concert last year and our daughter joined us this time. We are Eagles fans and have been lucky enough to see them twice in Hampden Park, Glasgow. We have also attended other Eagles Tribute concerts three times but think that you are much better than they are......I booked three front row tickets as soon as they were on sale for Pitlochry. Money well spent. Thanks for a fantastic evening. Come back to see us soon............ Elizabeth Bond.
Hi guys, Enjoyed your show last night - better than last year. The "young boy" Steve has a great voice for The Eagles. I thought he combined well with Chris both in song and banter, which was the big difference from last year. Finaly my wife and I were pleased to hear one of our fav`s "Love will keep us alive" Best success with the tour ...........................Gordon & Lyn Bonnington
Hi guys, was at show on Sunday 13 june in Pitlochry. Show was absolutely fantastic, thanks for taking time to chat annd sign autographs. I was well chuffed, look forward to seeing you all next time u come to Scotland..........Christine.xxxxxx
Hi Guys. Having seen the Eagles and other tribute Eagles bands on numerous occasions, I was slightly sceptical prior to the gig last evening. However, I was simply blown away by the quality of performance and my sincere congratulations for a simply superb evening of classic tracks enjoyed by my wife and I at the Artrix theatre. All the emotions of the original live performances were truly felt as tears were brought to my eyes during numerous lifetime favourites. Our apologies for not discovering you sooner, however, I guarantee that we and others will be in the audience for future performances. Looking forward to your versions from "Eden" in the future - no pressure guys ! Immense enjoyment, well done to you all - just a magic evening............. Ray and Linda Ravenall.
Went to the above gig last night and was very impressed with the whole night. I would describe myself as an Eagles fan and have seen them live. I have also seen all the other Eagles Tributes quite a few times. At the start of the gig I thought that Desperado would not measure up, but as the show progressed I enjoyed the night more and more. Once you got to Joe walsh "lifes been good" I was sold and feel that Desperado are the premier eagles tribute outfit. Nick Mellor was outstanding, to say the least and was the great difference between the bands. Thanks for a great nightout, i will certainly see the band again ......... Cheers Kevin Wilkes
Hi, Just thought I would comment on your performance last night at the Artrix in Bromsgrove. We both had a brilliant night and would like to congratulate you on amazing vocals and musicianship. About 10 years ago we went to see The Eagles live in Birmingham on their comeback tour and it was just like being there again only better as this time we could see the band! Definately will be looking out for your return visit.......... Regards Carol & Graham
Just thought I'd say how much I and my 2 mates enjoyed your performance on Saturday night 10th June at the Artrix, Bromsgrove. My friend Colin came all the way down from Manchester on my recommendation after I heard you at the Artrix last year. With 6 in the band this year it gave an even wider array of vocal and musical talent. Well done to Chris and the boys - please come again to Bromsgrove.!........ John Legge
Hi, Just wanted to say what a fantastic night we had last night at St Albans, thanks to the talented band. Sounds just like the real thing. We all need to be able to escape from the depressing times we are in right now and you all cheered us up no end. Eagles songs and the way you played and sang them last night they would be very proud of you all, so very very professional, and cannot wait to see you all again.Don't make us wait too long! Keep it up...... Mary & Richard Berry.
Hey Chris, I and some friends were at your gig last night, St Albans; you're the third Eagles tribute band I've had the pleasure of seeing and in my opinion the best! Great tight sound with volume levels just right; congratulations to your sound man, like the band he did a great job....... it was a great night out and we really loved the show........ Len
Excellent Eagles tribute, couldn’t be bettered. Thanks for a great evening, Good Luck for the future ....... Terry and Pat (Hemel Hempstead)
Saw you last night at Skegness.you were brilliant! We will certainly come and see you again. You were all excellent musicians but being an ex guitarist myself I thought Nick, was awsome .........well worth the 80 mile round trip. Keep it up lads......... Tony and Jan.
Great show again on Saturday, my friends were so impressed with you all, they were hoarse with singin along. One of them is a proper Eagles buff and he didn't stop praising you all the way home. See you soon, keep on rockin .... Steve and Jill Casey
Hi We thought your concert Saturday night at Skegness was absolutely brilliant, keep up the good work boys, shame there wasn't that many people there but that was their misfortune as they are the losers, they missed a great night out. Hope that will not put you off coming back to Skeg as we would be first in line for tickets. Many thanks and good luck for the rest of your tour......... Joy & Colin in Friskney
Hello lads saw you last night at the Embassy theatre Skegness what a brilliant night. Been a big Eagles fan for a long long time, went to see Hell Freezes over tour at Wembley blown away then but was also blown away last night. Never sure about tribute bands but desperado excellent. You made my wife's night by singing Love Will Keep Us Alive her all time favorite looking forward to seeing you again .........Colin and Karen Hendley (Wainfleet Lincs)
Only the second time I have seen you guys and and just like the first i was blown away by how good you are. I wasn't an Eagles fan before i saw you but now i am both an Eagles fan and a Desperados fan. I especially loved Dirty Laundry...i was the looney bouncing around in the front like tigger !!! Cant wait another six months to see you so were gonna come to the gig in Cornwall your doing in June. Thanks for a brilliant evening, i could have stood there all night listening to you all. Quality music. xx ......... Linda Freeman xxxx
Hi guys, I Came to the Tavisrock Wharf gig lastnight and have to say you absoloutly stormed the place. I have been to a fair few gigs there but nothing came close to you guys. I stood at the front and found it hard to take it all in as the entire band were fantastic. The eagles were my mums favourite band and just wish she was alive and there with us lastnight as she would have loved you. I hope you come back soon to the wharf and just wish we could book you for our wedding next year......... Regards. Lee Smith.
Went to see you last night at the Wharf in Tavistock, absolutely brilliant show, had a wonderful evening! Thanks to you all. Look forward to seeing you again next year! ....... Carol Kinchlea
Hi to you all....the chaps in "Talon" say Hello..!!!! Only kidding, although I expect you know them..!! Seven of us went to see you from nearby Plymouth, and as always, enjoyed the show immensely. The "new boy" Steve looks quite young,,,only around 30..but a great voice and performance..!! There was some other bloke on vocals...a Chris somebody...thinks he can perform like Don Henley.. I gather that Don Henley is sueing for his voice back... We were disappointed with the lead guitarist Nick...I mean..what does he know about augmented and diminished.. just about everything it seems...should try harder though...by the way, just how many fingers has he got...?? So,as an accomplished singer/guitarist myself..who plays in a local band..should you wish to reduce the quality of your performance..call me..?? See you in Polperro...have a great tour.........Paul Ellis(Plymouth)
